9/8/2013 — Colorado Fracking Earthquake Swarm — inside large oil pumping operation

The last few weeks have been like a repeat of 2011 all over again.

Multiple large 6.0M+ earthquakes around the ring of fire (11 quakes in 7 days), and multiple moderate earthquakes (4.0M range) at the Timpson Texas pumping operation.  Also, add in the multiple fracking earthquakes in Arkansas, and Oklahoma.

All the aforementioned earthquakes in Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas occurring inside large pumping / drilling operations.

Now, just like 2011, after we see excessive movement in TX, OK, and AR — we see additional compensation movement along the edge of the Craton (to the west) in Colorado.  Today, September 8, 2013 an earthquake swarm is occurring inside the Trinidad, CO oil pumping operation which is also mixed with natural gas frack / injection wells.

At this point, there should not be ANY debate on the validity of the connection between Fracking , Injection and Earthquakes.

A study published this past week, done by the USGS, confirms the connection.

More than 100 earthquakes in 2011 in Youngstown, Ohio, were caused by fracking, says a new study, adding to past research that has linked fracking to earthquakes in Oklahoma and Arkansas.

Youngstown is located over the Marcellus Shale, a geological formation that scientists estimate contains 489 trillion cubic feet of natural gas. Before January 2011, it had never felt an earthquake, at least not since record-keeping began in 1776. But two weeks after the Northstar 1 well started pumping fluid into the ground, the tremors began. Though most were too small to feel, by December 2011 seismometers in the town had recorded a magnitude 3.9 quake.

Back once again to Arkansas.  Another injection well induced earthquake…. a repeat, ongoing problem it would seem.

Some readers may recall the governor of Arkansas put a moratorium on new frack wells in 2011 (after the large 5.0M earthquake which struck the injection well operation in central AR).

Now it appears they’re back up and running.  This past winter (2012 going into 2013) Arkansas experienced a series of additional “frack quakes” as well as EXPLODING COMPRESSOR STATIONS AND PIPELINES.

This current 2.7M earthquake occurred inside an operation we haven’t seem much movement around in the past.   Previous areas like Greenbrier / Beebe have had recent movement as well, however this Earthquake occurred inside operations to the North.

The Arkansas earthquakes, including movement in adjacent areas such as Oklahoma, Louisiana, and Texas — indicate heavy stress upon the edge of the North American Craton (plate).  All the areas weakened by man made injection / drilling will continue to experience ‘unexpected’ seismic activity UNTIL the unrest in the West Pacific dies down.

The Pacific plate unrest could carry on for years to come, which means drilling points across the craton edge will continue to be in flux, much like perforated edges on a thick piece of cardboard.. they will tear at the weak points first.

This has happened a few times before over the past year or so:

Always have an earthquake plan ready, and be prepared.  If mother nature doesn’t hit you with movement, a human corporation seeking profit might strike.

In this case, greed is leading to earthquakes.  It won’t stop until a large earthquake causes major damage, and loss of life.

Here is a basic instructional video on how to look up fracking earthquakes:
